For the month of January, Health & Mining lead the charge for jobs being advertised in the Orana region.
There were 54 Health and Social Welfare roles; including General nursing, mental health nursing, support workers and a number of positions for doctors and specialists. Most of these roles are for the centres of Dubbo and Mudgee, with a number of nursing positions being advertised in the smaller towns in the region.
Mining is undergoing a widespread expansion in the region, with a new coal mine in the Mudgee area undertaking extensive recruiting for all related trades. Gold and copper mines in Cobar and Nyngan LGA’s are also continually recruiting for specialist mining staff and tradesmen with mining experience.
There are a number of major civil construction projects either commenced or about to commence in the Orana region; hence the demand for tradesmen and professionals across the board is significant. These are long term construction projects and Local Government positions to benefit the entire region, so roles are not limited to either Dubbo or Mudgee.
Early childhood positions continue to be actively recruited across both large and small towns in the region.
For all of these positions, applicants will need to apply for the roles and undergo a competitive selection process – the same process an Australian citizen would undertake. Some businesses will be willing to sponsor a migrant, some won’t, but if you don’t apply for the position you don’t have any chance.
