Change the will take effect on 11th of February 2019 include the addition of 3 occupations to the SNOL: Metal fitters and Machinists nec, Locksmith and Butcher or Smallgoods Makers.

Immigration SA has conducted a mid-year review of it’s occupation lists – the State Nominated Occupation List (SNOL) and the Supplementary Skilled List (SSL). Changes will take effect on the afternoon of 11th of February 2019.

Occupations added to the SNOL for the remainder of the 2018-2019 program year.

The remaining changes mostly reflect the reintroduction of selected occupations that had reached the special conditions status (on the SNOL) or which were no longer available to offshore appliucants (on the SSL)
Only limited places have been made available across these occupations, with the additional places made possible due to the level of refusals in earlier applications that did not meet Immigration SA’s stated requirements or Department of Home Affairs minimum requirements.
Occupations on the SNOL with “Special Conditions” status to be removed.
(and therefore accessible to more offshore applicants).

Please note that many of these occupations will be reinstated at “Low Availability” due to the small number of places available.
